It’s Thursday – also known as thirsty Thursday, also known as the breaking point. Co-worker’s birthday? Thursday happy hour! Promotion? Thursday happy hour! Engagement? Baby announcement? Divorce? Thursday happy hour! It’s pretty much that point in the week when everyone has had it with everything, can’t contain themselves, and needs to commiserate/celebrate over a nice and cool glass of [insert alcoholic bev of choice here].
Want to throw a rockin’ 90s-themed party with your online fashion magazine? Throw it Thursday night. Fashion Indie, one such online fashion mag, did just that last Thursday at WIP on Vandam (at Varick St.) in the West Village. Blissfully unaware of that Chris Brown/Drake incident awhile back, Aly and I attended in full force, traipsing through the set of Law & Order: SVU to get to and from the party, and accidentally getting caught in Bergdorf’s social media spotlight. Whoops. All in a New York night.
Complete with a slammin’ playlist by DJ Kalkutta that threw me right back into the 9th grade, this party was a veritable Who’s Who of the New York social media scene. Gregory Littley, McArthur Joseph, Leigh Alcott — just to name a few.
Some photos from the night:

Yes, that would be Aly & me crashing the set of SVU. Image courtesy of @Bergdorfs.
Thanks to Mac from Fashion Indie for the invite!
