About StolenSays

When I first moved to New York, I would step out of my Times Square office building and traipse down 42nd Street to Bryant Park catching view of both Chrysler Building and the Empire State Building. Although I knew it marked me as a newbie, a huge grin would light up my face. Since then, a lot has happened. I’ve met some really amazing people, who all share my love of this glittering city and love to explore it with me. I no longer grin with such glee at the sight of the Chrysler Building (at least, not outwardly), but I still think it’s incredible that I live in such a wildly opportune city.

I’m currently a twenty-something transplant working two jobs – a 9-5 in a cubicle, and a part-time gig as a personal assistant. Running across midtown between offices keeps me on my toes, but because my work life is not-so-glam, I try to make up for it in my social life by exploring everything our fair city has to offer.

Stolen Says started as a weekly column on the fabulous style blog Cubicle Chic. After about a year, we assessed our situations as bloggers and writers, and although we made a great team we decided to refocus our energies in different directions – which resulted in Stolen Says going solo. And here we are!

Keep track of where I’ve been, and what I might post next by following me on Twitter (@StolenSays). If you have suggestions for activities, restaurants, bars – anything you’d like to read about or think I should check out, please (!) email me (stolensays@gmail.com). You can also find me on Facebook, and leave comments/suggestions there.
OR: If you are lucky enough to live here, as I said before, congratulations – I look forward to running into you! Seriously, if you see I’ve checked in somewhere on FourSquare (which posts to Twitter) and you’re in the area, look for me, and come say hey! If you’re as fabulous as you think you are (and you probably are) you’ll have a chance to be featured here on Stolen Says! As G & I always say, the more the merrier – so stop in, have a drink, and share your love of New York with the rest of the world!
